SABLE

“Boeta” our breeding bull was acquired from Mr Lee Canata as a young bull in 2010 he has since grown to a massive 45″ horn lenght with a 26″ tip to tip wich makes him a world class breeding bull. We also acquired 3 young pregnant heifers from Realora Game in 2014. This marked the start of our Sable Breeding program.

Hipotrachus niger niger or Black Sable (also known as the Matsetsi sable and Zambian) is regarded as the ‘typical’ sable as it was the first to be described and named in 1838. Often referred to as the black sable because it tends to have the darkest coat, this subspecies occurs south of the Zambezi River, particularly in northern Botswana and large numbers in the Matsetsi valley of Zimbabwe but is also found in Southern Africa
